Waxing work Surfaces
To help work pieces slide smoothly across tables and fences, wax and buff the surfaces.  Apply a coat of paste wax, then buff it out thoroughly.   this leaves a film of wax, just a few molecules thick, that serves as a lubricant to help the wood slide across the tool.

For That Baby-Fresh Smoothness
As an alternative to wax, you can treat your table saw's table to an occasional sprinkle of baby powder instead.

SURE FIRE WAY TO REMOVE A WOODEN PLUG
A sure-fire way to remove a wooden plug that covers a screw head...  Drill a 1/8 inch pilot hole through the center of the plug.  Than drive a drywall screw through the hole.  The hardened drywall screw bottoms on the hidden screw head and forces the plug up and out of the hole.
